For adults

Mornings are for grown-ups

Children fill my afternoons. From 9:00 to 15:00 it is quiet, and that window is yours — for a certificate with a deadline on it, or for the English your job keeps asking for.

Who comes in the morning

Probably one of these

An adult studying at a library desk with a laptop

You need a certificate

B2 First or C1 Advanced, usually for a university place, a public-sector application or a job that asks for it on paper. We work backwards from your exam date.

Your job runs in English

Meetings, calls, email, interviews, the presentation you are dreading. We rehearse the situations you are actually in rather than working through a general course.

You understand everything and freeze

You read English fine and go blank when somebody asks you a question. Very common, entirely fixable, and mostly a matter of speaking hours with someone who will not let you switch language.

How it runs

What the first months look like

  1. A free 30-minute conversation

In English, so I can hear where you are. At the end you get a written note: your level, and honestly how long your goal will take.

  2. A plan with a date on it

If it is an exam, we work backwards from the session. If it is work English, we start from the situations that cost you the most.

  3. One or two mornings a week

Sixty minutes, or ninety if we are preparing an exam. Same slot each week, so it survives contact with your calendar.

Why it works for adults too

  • Lessons entirely in English, with someone who learned it as a second language to C1
  • One to three students, so you talk for most of the hour
  • Trained as a Cambridge speaking examiner — I know what is being marked
  • €30 on your own, €20 each if you come with a colleague
  • The same digital notebook, so you can revise between lessons
